About ZipKit

Free tools, honest guides, zero fluff — built by people who actually live here.

Why we exist

ZipKit started because finding reliable answers about money and daily life in Thailand meant piecing together outdated blog posts, forum rumors and paywalled advisories. We build the tools and write the guides we wished existed: accurate, current, cited, and free.

What makes this site different

• Tools, not just articles. Calculators that compute your actual numbers instead of paragraphs describing math.
• Browser-local calculators. Inputs to our browser tools are calculated on your device without an account. The remote MCP API sends tool inputs to a server; see the details below.
• Cited sources. Tax and legal pages reference Revenue Department orders, Royal Gazette items and official fee schedules — with "last reviewed" dates on every page.
• Updated when things change. Thai rules shift frequently (see our remittance law coverage). Pages carry review dates; stale pages get flagged internally.

How tool data is processed

• Browser tools: the calculators under /tools run their calculations in your browser. Their calculation inputs are not uploaded to ZipKit. The residency day counter saves your entries in this browser's local storage.
• Remote MCP API: when your AI client calls zipkit-mcp.scy1he02.workers.dev, the tool arguments are sent to the ZipKit Cloudflare Worker for processing, and the result is returned to your client. This is not browser-local processing.
• Your AI client: its provider's data practices also apply. Check those before sending personal information. Use hypothetical or non-identifying values where possible, and do not include passwords or other secrets in tool inputs.

How ZipKit is funded

Some links on ZipKit are affiliate links and may earn a commission from the provider at no extra cost to you. ZipKit also accepts desktop website QA scope inquiries. Any QA work, fee and timing must be agreed separately; an inquiry does not book a service.

What this means in practice:

• We disclose affiliate relationships inline on every page where links appear
• Comparisons are ranked by merit at time of writing — never by commission size
• We don't run display ads, popups, or sell data
• No paid placements disguised as reviews. Ever.

Editorial standards

• Tax/legal content cites primary sources and carries explicit "not advice" framing
• Unavailable information is marked as unavailable — never guessed or fabricated into fake precision
• Mistakes get corrected visibly with date stamps

We read everything but can't reply to every message. For urgent matters, well… this is a website, not an emergency service — see our emergency guide instead.

The boring details

ZipKit is an independent publication based in Thailand. The website and remote MCP service are hosted on Cloudflare's network. See how tool data is processed before choosing browser tools or the remote API.
